    We had an emergency and got our AP approved and collected it at the USCIS office. We left US the very next day. We had no issues returning back. So i think you should be OK.

    Lets assume that USCIS mailed it the same day and you got it in a couple of days. :rolleyes:

    I personally think you should be OK based on your approval dates.

    These conversations are very good. In my experience recently one of my friend went on USA on H1B visa. On the time of stamping he faced some difficult in Chennai. But another friend got visa easily in Hyderabad. I think that for H1B visa Hyderabad is easy to get stamping.

    Your current employer experience has to be prior to your labor filing date (PD). You can not use the experience you got after the filing date.

    You can use your experience with current employer if the future job is substantially different than your current job.

    I have also OPT card with a A# and another alien number with 485.. I went to INFOPASS, the IO said that there is no problem.. the one in the OPT is a temporal number.... the new alien from 485 is the permanent:o

    E filed both myself and spouse application 157 days before expiry of EAD. Received Receipt numbers immediately, since i e-filed. i did send in the documentary evidence supporting the case also.
    Also received FP request, which i had to re-schedule twice(once for visit abroad, second on missing app. due to late arrival of notice). Finally got FP completed on third try.
    However, i received email stating that an RFE has been send for both our applications. Still awaiting for the paper document.

    Does this mean the application was accepted? Or Should i e-file once again instead of waiting on the outcome of this application as i am already a month late to expiration of EAD?

    RFE asked me to clarify my intend for applying for EAD (replacement or renewal). I replied that i had asked for renewal and that i was not aware of any limit on the date.
    ===================Update=====================
    EAD Card recieved with 1 year extension from date of expiry of previous EAD.

    if u change ur job using H1 transfer..so does it mean ...he has to restart his GC all over again?? ok i am little confused here..

    > if he choses to use EAD..his wife will be oout of status..so its bad

    > if he chooses to transfer using H1..what happens to his EAD???


    I believe AC21 is for shifting employers on EAD after 180 days of I-485.

    If retrogression continues Im seriously thinking about retuirning to India in a few yrs once I meet my savings goals. However I have some questions of parents of kids who have been in India/US schooling system.

    1) After what grade/standard do you feel that a child born and raised in USA cant integrate into Indian education system. (I was thinking 1st standard).

    2) What things can we do at home to prepare child for entry into Indian school system from here. Is Montesorri education most comparable to India Nursery/KG ?

    3) Any issues with US born citizen getting admitted to Indian schools (Convent schools - government aided or private). Will it be a competitive disadvantage for US citizens, do they have to pay more fees that Indian nationals ?

    I worked for company A till Jun 2003 on h1 for 3 years. Then i went back to India and switched to company B. Now I'm in US on L1 thru company B. I'm thinking of switching back to company A in US. But my H1 got expired on June 2004. My question: Is it possible to renew the original H1 processed by company A now and start working for it? Please help.You said you have worked for Company A for 3yrs.in that case you H1 is arleady expired unless you have revalidated from company A.. If you have to work for Company A again you have to file a new H1B.
