According to CNET, the new Air will be released around June with a Sandy Bridge ULV Core i5 2537M chip 1.4 GHz that can turbo to 2.3 GHz.
So for .17 GHz upgrade we are sacrificing around 30% graphic power?
is this a new news or is it the same thing they posted early this month?

On the other hand, on the GPU side, you have a 80/100 (which is what the NVIDIA 320m is) and we see a 30% performance drop, that will result to a 42.5/100.Wrong math. 30% of 80/100 is 24/100 so you end up with 56/100, not 42.5/100.
I see the current MBA owners make every effort to praise their machine and brand the next one useless. For the casual user the c2d MBA and SB MBA will be absolutely identical. Neither the faster CPU нор the slower GPU will make your web browsing any faster/slower, document editing will be the same. Still the MBA will be your travel companion. Picking a MBA to be the one and only computer in a home environment is kinda ridiculous - for less amount of money one can get an iMac which is far more convenient with its larger screen - for gaming, videos or whatever. Besides, it is very portable, too, i move mine in my home all the time.

Well, Rumors I hear suggest this may be a new iPhone but not the new iPhone.
Cook said he wanted a more affordable one. What better than an iPod Touch that can make calls if you buy credit on a pay-as-you go basis?
This will have A4, 4-8GB, retina res but not IPS and sell for under $200 with no contract.
Existing Touch will be replaced by a 5-6" game-centric model with A5 and 1024 x 768 retina screen.

the iPhone doesn't compete against Android. The iPhone competes against all of the handsets running Android. And it's killing them. The 3GS as the second best-selling handset? That's frankly embarrassing for Android.
So tell me, in what world is having:

Maybe something in the higher models needed 2gb of ram.. Or apple is just being its kinds self and giving us 2gb instead of 1gb to make us happy :) Or trick us into thinking we are getting a good deal for our money when we really arnt! Ahh the confusing ways of apples marketing structure! But I sure cant wait for my 2.33GHz stock 15.4inch Macbook pro! I will be paying that back for the rest of my life ;)
Has anyone esle seen that the apple.com/macbookpro image looks white.. kinda looks like a ibook

I get about the same drop rate or worse in the DC Metro area. I also have friends on AT&T that have their text messages go to the wrong person. Thinking seriously of getting a Verizon BB and an iPod Touch to replace my iPhone. :(:(:( Sorry :apple:

Amazon's store doesn't bog you down with movies and games and whatnot. You go to the MP3 section and 99% of what is advertised is music, both the music you searched and others you might like.
iTunes has gotten more irritating in that regard in recent years. You click on store half the time just wanting to do a search for a song or something you're looking for and you get this MEGA LAG due to the fact iTunes wants to load up a catalog page containing about a thousand items on it with fade-through album covers, animation, etc. to try and catch your eye to sell you stuff you don't want to buy. The problem is even with a 10mbps connection, it still loads slow (at least on my older Macs and you get that lag trying to click on the darn search box which won't respond because it's far too busy loading advertisements). That sucks IMO.
You can get iTunes to move songs over to USB drives, etc. (select songs or lists and just drag it to the drive in the finder), but there's always been this bug if you move too many songs, it won't work (not sure where the exact number is, but I've run into it many times on an 8GB USB thumb drive for my car). Plus on Macs, OSX insists on copying the .files over with the songs which most car players choke on (so I use my Windows machine to do all this instead of my OSX server). Apple couldn't care less about either because in their eyes, you should be using an iPod...even for the car. Anything else is heresy and you deserve what you get. But they won't support Linux with iTunes because those people are crazy and probably wouldn't buy stuff anyway (free information et al).
